ABOUT

  Shari Mocheit (pronounced moh-SHAY) (yeah... it's weird) is a professional actress, singer, director, and choreographer currently starring as Tatiana in Cabaret le Cirque at the Eldorado Showroom in Reno, Nevada.  Originally from Detroit, and raised with three awesome brothers, Shari vivaciously loves life, adventures, and making people laugh.  After graduating with a BFA from Western Michigan University, she moved to Chicago and began her professional performance career with companies such as Drury Lane Theatre, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight Music Theatre, Metropolis Performing Arts Center, Fox Valley Repertory, and many more.

  Shari has worked with Emmy and Tony Award winning teams such as director/choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge on the Multi-Jefferson Award Winning production of Smokey Joe's Café and director/choreographer Joshua Bergasse on the World Premiere Jefferson Award Nominated Hazel: A Musical Maid in America.  Shari has starred in numerous commercial and print ad campaigns such as Quicken Loans, Groupon, 5-Hour Energy, Arora Sleep Clinic, and industrials for companies such as Volkswagen, Mars Wrigley, and Chevy. 

She has sung in numerous cabarets and solo performances too!  Such as the Arlington International Racecourse Gala with Second City, numerous performances at The Joseph Jefferson Award Ceremonies, and multiple staged readings and workshops throughout Chicago.  She starred as Abby Prior in the Toronto Independent Film Award winning Atrophy, which also won the Indie Originals Award for best Sci-Fi Feature Film, and she starred as Linda/dance captain in the Olympia Entertainment production of Evil Dead: The Musical.  Shari has also worked as director, choreographer, producer, and writer for independent films, music videos, and theatres such as Festival 56.

Shari loves social dances such as salsa, cha cha, swing, and Argentine tango.  She has a passion for traveling, entertaining, food, wine, makeup FX, and building genuine connections as well as her love for performing.  She is a bubbly ENFJ, bibliophile, enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing and can often be found playing piano, drum set, and ukulele.  She hopes to share joy, positivity, love, and light with as many people as possible through her work. 

 

Shari is beyond grateful to God, her incredible family, and friends for all their continued love and support.
